Yarm Twinning
Back in 1985 Yarm AL joined with the organisers of the town's twinning association and have been actively involved ever since. Vernouillet is a small place on the outskirts of Paris and members of their fishing club (UPBL) actively join us each year to celebrate friendship and fishing, with a little bit of drinking thrown in for good measure.Each year one association play's host to the other, entertaining their guest for what can only be explained as a very enjoyable long weekend. In 2006 we will be travelling to France.
Wining and dining, fishing and sight-seeing is all part of the weekend with as many as 100 people taking part. It is all based around the main organised event, which is a fishing match on the Saturday.
