Another keenly fought contest saw Joe Trattles again beating Ben Nash into second place, with Adam Lancaster coming third for the second time running. Joe fished peg 24 for 8lbs 12 ozs, including a bream of 1lb 11oz, a barbel of 14 oz and a 6oz roach. Ben fished peg 39 for 6lbs 7oz, with a 2lb 2oz bream and a 5oz roach being his best fish. Adam landed 5lb 1oz of mainly small perch and roach, with a 1lb 11oz bonus bream. Unfortunately he did not manage to land the carp which he had played for several minutes, otherwise he would have been the clear winner. Jamie Moore netted 3lb 5 oz of roach and perch from peg 27, and Sam Hutchinson had 3lb in his net. Sam included a 4oz perch in his net, which won him the prize for the heaviest of that species. This was the last match in the series. Ben Nash won the Maurice Jenkinson Specimen Fish Shield with his bream of 2lb 2oz. He had been in the lead with his 6oz roach from the first match, but with Joe matching this weight in this match the final weigh-in was a tense few minutes. The magical weight for a bream to beat the 6oz roach was 1lb 12oz, so Joe and Adam came tantalizingly close. As the scales reached Ben and his bream beat all-comers he breathed a huge sigh of relief, followed by a very happy smile.
