In order to quantify the damage being done to fish stocks we need to formulate a comprehensive survey of the predatory birds that are seen on our waters – both stillwaters and on the River Tees. Whenever you see such birds as Cormorants or Goosanders, please note their numbers and location below, and hand any completed sheets to a YAL committee member or the steward in the Social Club.
For the survey to be meaningful, only record the total number of birds seen at any one time in a particular location.
